Literature Text

pixelated

you've taken upon the form of
an angel

perhaps not too far from
a reality that does
not truly exist.

easily swayed,
you so awkwardly
knock me off my feet,
a gust that forces my lips
to curve into a smile

i'd rather not share.

mockingly,

you wisk me away to dance
a waltz i never learned,
dragging my feet along the way
so that i'm falling,

staring right into the eyes
that cause the air to rupture
my lungs on impact.

slipping,

i make my way out of your grasp,
eyelids heavy like anvils
over a timid feather:

i've been drowning in an ocean
the temperature of
blue hell-

you came to steal
the breath from my heart

but now,
my love,

I am free.

Beautiful...the way you've woven a story is very admirable. The first five lines are my favourite.
